VIDEO: Overall success rates at 7 years were superior in patients after two-level cervical total disc replacement vs. ACDF
BOSTON — At the North American Spine Society Annual Meeting, Kris E. Radcliff, MD, discussed a study that compared patients who underwent cervical total disc replacement with patients who underwent anterior discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for two-level symptomatic degenerative disc disease. He said at the 7-year follow-up, both groups of patients significantly improved from baseline with high success rates, but patients who underwent disc replacement saw greater improvements.
