Spinal Elements initiates warranty program for devices with specific titanium coating

Spinal Elements announced it has initiated a warranty program for its Ti-Bond implants.
According to a company press release, Ti-Bond is the company’s porous titanium coating for polyetheretherketone interbody devices used in spine surgery. Under the Ti-Bond Warranty Program, implants with this coating will be warrantied against delamination, chipping, peeling, shedding or generating debris during surgery and will be warrantied against implant fracture, coating delamination, pseudarthrosis, migration of implant, subsidence or trauma 1-year postoperatively. The implant will be replaced free of charge if any of these events occur.
“Ti-Bond has been an important component of our growth since its launch, fueling our more than 20% growth year to date and near 30% growth in the most recent quarter for this year over last year alone,” Todd Andres, chief executive officer and cofounder of Spinal Elements, said in the release. “We see growing excitement for it as we continue to introduce Ti-Bond into new segments including lateral and expandable interbody devices. The warranty program serves as a statement of our phenomenal confidence in this technology to deliver the performance demanded by our surgeon customers.”
