Bioventus announced the launch of GELSYN-3, a three-injection hyaluronic acid product for pain relief in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee.

According to a company press release, the injection regimen offers pain relief for osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee for up to 6 months. Each GELSYN-3 injection administers hyaluronic acid and has been clinically proven as safe and effective.

“GELSYN-3 expands the product offering for our U.S. active healing therapies business and gives patients and physicians another choice for effective knee OA pain management,” Tony Bihl, chief executive officer of Bioventus, said in the release. “This launch is another milestone at Bioventus, and we expect GELSYN-3 to help accelerate our growth as a leader of orthobiologics.”
