Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the top-ranked hospital in the country for orthopedics for the 2016 to 2017 year.

According to a press release, there were approximately 153 hospitals nationally ranked for at least one specialty. U.S. News & World Reports compared almost 5,000 medical centers around the country in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. The publication also ranked 504 of the best regional hospitals in the states and metro areas.
