In support to the global effort launched by WHO and the Bone and Joint Decade to create greater attention to trauma care, the EFORT Trauma Task Force has established a programme of online surveys dedicated to European trauma experts.

The scope of this multinational trauma surveys is to collect data on treatment options for similar fractures among all EFORT members states to understand the differences in daily practice within Europe. Although quality of treatments would still not be totally reflected, these surveys would contribute to identify new leading “actors” in the trauma field. Ultimately, the results could lead to a compendium of recommendations giving the possibility to define some European treatment standards.

The survey currently opened until mid-July kindly has been designed by Prof. Dr. med. Florian Gebhard from the Universitätsklinikum Ulm, Germany.
