EFORT FOUNDATION: Medacta Visiting Fellowship 2014
Applications for the MEDACTA 2014 Visiting Fellowship are open throughout the year to orthopaedic specialists according to their national regulations, to orthopaedists below 45 years of age and to residents in their last year of residency.
Candidates may apply for a 2, 4, 6 or 8 week short-term fellowship, as well as long-term fellowships from 3 to 12 months in order to visit one of the recognized hosting centers. Please consult the list of hosting centers for further information. Please note that long-term fellowships are encouraged.
All applications will be periodically reviewed by the EFORT FOUNDATION evaluation committee and all the candidates will be notified in writing in the months of May (applications from December 1 to March 31), October (applications from April 1 to August 31) and January (applications from September 1 to November 30).
Each grant is designed to support a fellow’s travel and living expenses for the duration of the stay which will be EUR 2,000/month. For intercontinental travel, fellows will receive an additional sum of EUR 1,000 to cover higher costs.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications throughout the year and only one application is allowed per year of reference. Applicants who have not been awarded a visiting fellowship grant in the previous 2 years are allowed to apply again for the current year.
