NORE, the Network of Orthopaedic Registries of Europe, is an international registry network established as a standing committee of EFORT and founded in 2015.
NORE focuses on medical device surveillance and arthroplasty outcomes to support improvements in patient care. It also provides advice and awareness to EFORT on international perspectives, experiences and practices in medical device surveillance and outcomes. This ranges from data capture (e.g., nomenclature on implant attributes) to advice on data analysis and reporting techniques, to new methodologies that evaluate the performance of medical devices.
To disseminate education and research on registry data and create awareness of the performance of medical devices, not only to members but also to the public and government bodies and related industry, NORE has set up a special session during the upcoming 17th EFORT Congress in Geneva.
We are therefore pleased to welcome the Chairman of the NORE Committee, Prof. Dr. Rob G.H.H. Nelissen (The Netherlands), and EFORT Secretary General Ass. Prof. Dr. Per Kjaersgaard-Andersen, as moderators of the NORE Symposium.

Improve your practice by smart implant surgery
Implant quality, surgical technique and patient safety are linked. By making the correct choices in arthroplasty surgery, you can give added value to your patients. Which implant to choose and which technique you use depends on your expertise. Registry data can give you a matrix to make the best implant choices. Considering that large data from registries have to be interpreted carefully, tools for interpretation will be taught during this session.
