ORLANDO, Fla. — At the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, Jonathan Vigdorchik, MD, discussed a study which looked at 3-D MRI and 3-D CT evaluation of osseous osteotomy in femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and hip dysplasia. He said orthopedic surgeons should try to avoid or limit radiation with low-dose CTs or MRI reconstructions, especially when dealing with younger, active patients.
