Brainlab introduces automatic digital templating software for knee arthroplasty

During the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, Brainlab introduced Auto-Knee, the latest feature of the TraumaCad 2.5.

According to a company press release, the Auto-Knee provides quick preoperative planning for knee arthroplasty procedures by automatically registering landmarks and removing the manual process.

“With technology like our automatic planning and outcome simulation tools, surgeons receive more visual and digital information for their clinical decision-making while saving time in their daily routine compared to previous versions,” Martin Immerz, vice president of Orthopedics at Brainlab, said in the release. “Auto-knee continues to set the standard in digital templating, offering our ever-expanding worldwide install base of 2,000 advanced mobile and desktop planning.”

Auto-knee also is available on the TraumaCad Mobile for iPad if orthopedic surgeons need to plan knee surgeries on-the-go.
