Zyga Technology Inc. has announced that the company has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA to market its SImmetry Sacroiliac Joint Fusion System using either a two-incision or a single-incision technique.
According to a company press release, the SImmetry System is a minimally invasive procedure intended for conditions including sacroiliac joint disruptions and degenerative sacroiliitis. A category 1 CPT code was assigned to minimally invasive SI joint fusion by the CMS in January.
