Aurora Spine Corporation recently announced it has received CE Mark approval for its line of TiNano sterile-packed titanium-coated spinal fusion implants made of PEEK thermoplastic material.

The TiNano is a titanium plasma spray coating on PEEK Interbody implants. The coated implants allow for the advantage of titanium material and the modulus and post-op imaging benefits of PEEK fusion implants, according to company representatives.

The CE Mark also applies to several interbody fusion devices, including configurations for the anterior lumbar, anterior cervical, posterior lumbar, transforaminal lumbar and the lateral lumbar interbody spacers, according to Aurora Spine Corporation Chief Technology Officer Laszlo Garamszegi in a press release.
