ChoiceSpine has announced the U.S. commercial launch of the Blackbird Posterior Cervical System.

The new system is designed for posterior fixation of the cervical and upper thoracic spine. The first of three new product releases for ChoiceSpine this year, the Blackbird offers a variety of screws, hooks and rods that can accommodate any surgeon’s needs, according to a company press release.

Thus far, the system has been used in more than 150 successful procedures, the release stated.
