Spineology recently announced the introduction of the ACT MediaLIF platform, with the full U.S. market release of its new Fortress Pedicular Fixation System and Medius Midline Retractor System.

The minimally invasive spine surgery platform is designed to significantly reduce the incision, dissection and retraction requirements associated with traditional posterior spinal fusion procedures, according to a company press release. The platform combines the advantages of Spineology’s Fortress Pedicular Fixation System, the Medius Midline Retractor System and Rampart Interbody Fusion Systems.

According to the release, the Fortress Pedicular Fixation System offers a divergent cortical screw trajectory for screw placement, and the Medius Midline Retractor system is designed to minimize muscle disruption and tissue retraction. Finally, the Rampart Interbody Fusion System offers impacted and steerable transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion and posterior lumbar interbody fusion options.
