Joimax launches new system to treat spinal stenosis

The Germany company, joimax, recently announced the launch of its new iLESSYS Delta system during the German Society of Neurosurgery Annual Meeting, according to a company press release.

The new system is designed for dorsal and dorsolateral treatment of central spinal canal stenosis. Guided by endoscopic-assisted vision, the system enables a large area to be decompressed by means of interlaminar access.

The iLESSYS Delta system has tools to enable gentle, tissue-sparing decompression and a 6-mm working channel for the endoscope to allow for the use of larger shaver blades designed for bone resection and endo-kerrisons, according to the press release.

“iLESSYS Delta is a logical addition to our portfolio. Not only is the system suitable for endoscopic decompression, but it also allows the parallel implantation of cages. This way we can achieve dorsal decompression and stabilization in one step,” Wolfgang Ries, CEO and founder of joimax, said in the release.
