Wright Medical Group announced it has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA to market the Salvation External Fixation System.

Together with the Salvation Beaming System and the Salvation 3Di Plating System, the Salvation External Fixation System is designed to address fracture, nonunions, and complex foot and ankle deformities. Additionally, it is the first complete portfolio of products to be specifically indicated for use to treat neuropathic osteoarthropathy, according to a company press release

Wright Medical also announced it will highlight recent innovations at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting. These recent innovations include:

  • Infinity Total Ankle Replacement System;
  • Inbone II Total Ankle Replacement System;
  • Prophecy Preoperative Navigation Alignment Guides; and
  • Ortholoc 3Di Flatfoot Plates.

“We have continued to expand our broad product portfolio to further extend our leadership position in foot and ankle,” Robert Palmisano, president and CEO of Wright Medical, said in the press release. “The Infinity Ankle’s lower-profile design and straightforward surgical approach expands our access to less-complicated primary cases and continues to be an important catalyst in the ongoing market conversion from fusion procedures to total ankle replacement.”
