CareCredit launches mobile payment solution

CareCredit recently announced the launch of its digital card technology, a new mobile payment offering for all CareCredit cardholders and providers.
The digital card will permit cardholders to access their CareCredit health care credit card via their mobile devices, thus eliminating the need to bring a physical card with them at the time of care. No new hardware or applications are required to use the digital card, according to a company release. The digital card is available on for users of all mobile devices.
The launch of the mobile payment functionality is in response to the rise in mobile engagement from CareCredit customers, which the company cited as having risen 59% year-over-year.
“We are committed to offering cutting-edge digital capabilities to consumers and providers with the mobile account management and payment solutions they seek,” Dave Fasoli, CEO of CareCredit, said in the release. “These ongoing enhancements represent the next phase in CareCredit’s mobile strategy and are an important factor behind our impressive satisfaction ratings in the industry.”
