LAS VEGAS — Bioventus announced the introduction of a broadened product offering for orthopedic surgeons at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, here.

The company now has two product portfolios for orthobiologics, Bioventus Active Healing Therapies and Bioventus Surgical, according to a company press release.

The new Bioventus Surgical line of products includes OsteoAMP, allogeneic bone with endogenous growth factors, which uses a proprietary process designed to retain the bone’s natural growth factor complement. More products within the Bioventus Surgical Line are expected to be announced in the near future, according to the release.

The Bioventus Active Healing Therapies line consists of products that allow patients to resume active lives using their bodies’ own processes to heal faster or reduce pain. These products include the new Exogen Ultrasound Bone Healing System, which can treat established nonunions and indicated fresh fracture. Supartz, a joint fluid hyaluronic acid for treatment of pain in the knee due to osteoarthritis (OA), and Durolane, a single-injection joint fluid indicated for the treatment of mild-to-moderate OA pain, will also be featured in the product line.
