Flower Orthopedics recently announced the launch of its new anatomic Distal Radius FlowerCube fracture fixation solution.
An addition to the company’s existing FlowerCube trauma line, the product is designed to increase OR efficiency. The Distal Radius FlowerCube comes with disposable, ready-to-use instruments and is touted by the company as being able to aid in fixation of all types of distal radial fractures.

“We believe that the new Distal Radius FlowerCube is ideal for both high-volume hospitals and cost-conscious surgery centers alike,” Oliver Burckhardt, president and CEO of Flower Orthopedics, said in a company release. “While the plating set has been extremely well-received by orthopedic surgeons, it is our standardized disposable instrumentation and the ready-for-surgery concept that really bring concrete, quantifiable value for our customers.”

The product is indicated for use for internal fixation of fractures and the reconstruction of bones, including the scapula, olecranon, humerus, radius, ulna, pelvis, distal tibia, hand and foot in adults and adolescents (ages 12 to 21) in whom the growth plats have fused, according to the release.
