FH Orthopedics launches new spine-based website, logo
FH Orthopedics launched its new website and logo at the recent Germany Spine Society annual meeting. The new website publicizes the company’s ESP line of spinal disc replacements.
Eric Hermann, head of the company’s spine unit, said the new website will give health care professionals and patients who are looking for such devices a transparent source of information. It will also be a central location for interested health care professionals to find literature on the ESP system, according to a company press release.
The ESP line of spine disc replacements has yet to receive FDA approval but received the CE mark in 2006, according to the release.
In early November 2014, the company announced a cervical version of the device — the CP-ESP — which it has since begun to distribute. The CP-ESP has been granted CE mark, has accomplished its pre-market evaluation successfully and is available in heights ranging from 5 mm to 7 mm with three different footprints, according to the release.
The company stated the ESP discs are currently being used by surgeons in France, Germany and Australia, among other locations.
