Amedica Corporation and InterMed Resources recently announced a purchasing agreement with HealthTrust regarding Amedica’s silicon nitride interbody offerings.

Per terms of the agreement, HealthTrust will purchase the entire line of Amedica’s silicon nitride interbody devices at a contracted price. Those devices will then be distributed exclusively through InterMed to the nearly 1,400 domestic acute care facilities that HealthTrust services, according to a joint press release.

“We are pleased to be selected by HealthTrust to provide our innovative silicon nitride devices to additional health care facilities across the United States,” B. Sonny Bal, MD, JD, MBA, chairman and CEO of Amedica, said in the release. “We look forward to our association with HealthTrust and supporting individual members with our biomaterial, aimed at improving patient outcomes and lowering health care costs.”
