Invuity announces new leadership appointments

Invuity recently announced the appointment of Paul O. Davison as vice president of research and development and Doug Heigel as vice president of operations.

Davison will now be responsible for leading, directing and planning Invuity’s overall strategy for expanding the company’s portfolio, and Heigel will be responsible for maximizing the company’s growth and profitability while leading and managing all operations functions, according to a company press release.

Heigel has 25 years of operations management experience, having established and managed commercial operations infrastructure and business processes for several business functions within Solta Medical, Argonaut Technologies and Biomolecular Technologies.

Davison has been involved in the development and commercialization of more than 25 medical devices, and most recently served as vice president and general manager of ConMed, where he was responsible for constructing, opening and managing the development facility for the Edge system in San Mateo, Calif., according to the release.
