Expanding Orthopedics announced it has been granted its 13th U.S. patent, adding to its IP family of expandable bone devices.

The newest patent covers innovative technologies in the areas of expandable interbody cages and vertebral compression fracture solutions, according to a company press release.

“While our sales and marketing team is currently focused on bringing the FDA-cleared FLXfit 3-D expandable cage to the U.S. market, our engineering team continues to work on the next generation of expandable devices to meet surgeons’ evolving needs,” Ofer Bokobza, CEO of Expanding Orthopedics, said in the press release. “We are dedicated to a continuous pursuit of raising the bar in providing a new standard of care in spine surgery.”
