FDA clears Spineart secured cervical cage system
Spineart recently announced the FDA clearance of the SCARLET AC-T secured cervical cage system and associated instrumentation.
Use of the system in a single procedure combines the benefits of an interbody device and a cervical plate, according to a company press release.
The locking mechanism of the screw head is integrated within the cage which, as noted in the release, reduces the profile and risks that may occur due to dysphagia. The implant featuers titanium sandblasted surfaces that facilitate primary stability and osseointegration. The instrumentation is designed to be surgeon- and hospital-friendly and includes one compact box of what the company described as intuitive instruments.
