RTI Surgical recently announced its new Precision Allograft Cartilage Kit for osteochondral resurfacing.

The Precision Allograft Cartilage Kit, or PACK, is designed to allow for a more uniform cartilage contact surface and aids in achieving a more precise fit of the allograft into the recipient’s socket, according to a company press release. The instrumentation set also boasts newly designed cutters, providing a clean recipient socket and allograft plug, as well as a consistent tight press fit, minimizing the need for additional fixation.

“The simplified technique offered by this new instrumentation will allow surgeons to approach cartilage restoration with more precision and focus on the end result of improving patient outcomes,” Brian K. Hutchison, president and CEO of RTI Surgical, said in the press release.
