Expanding Orthopedics announced it has obtained CE mark for the FLXfit 3-D expandable interbody cage.

The product is now cleared for commercialization in Europe, according to a company press release.

Enabling an all-in-one solution for interbody fusion, the FLXfit is a minimally invasive treatment for lumbar degenerative disc disease, designed to restore sagittal balance. The interbody cage has an articulated self-guidance system that gives optimal access while providing large footprint and controlled expansion for lordotic correction, according to the release.

Surgeries using the FLXfit are currently planned at predefined European centers during the coming weeks, followed by full release in selected territories.
