Eminent Spine, a privately owned spinal technology company, received a U.S. Patent recently for its bone plate and plating system, Fang Plate.

Fang Plate utilizes tri-lobe technology, with the locking mechanism of the screw/plate interface that allows for a low-profile lumbar buttress plate, according to a company press release.

The company also recently announced that it passed two consecutive inspections at its Georgetown, Texas, facility conducted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

At the end of the first inspection, no observations were issued, and Eminent received a closeout letter from the FDA stating that all concerns had been addressed. A warning letter Eminent Spine received in 2010 has now been rescinded, according to a separate company press release.
