SLACK Incorporated to launch Spine Surgery Today
SLACK Incorporated, publisher of Orthopedics Today, has announced it will launch Spine Surgery Today – the only newspaper dedicated to spine surgery. Spine Surgery Today will reach more than 8,000 U.S. physicians with a multidisciplinary platform serving as a primary news and information source for spine surgeons and neurosurgeons.
Published 6 times a year, the tabloid-style newspaper will strive to be the global, definitive information source for health care professionals who treat or conduct research related to spine. By delivering timely, authoritative and balanced reports on clinical issues, socioeconomic topics and spine industry developments, Spine Surgery Today will present clinically relevant information on the surgical techniques, products, therapies, procedures and technologies used in spine surgery. With a reporting style designed to develop a deeper connection with readers, this newspaper will engage readers’ interest while presenting the news in a time-saving format. Readers will also have free access to daily news at Healio.com/Spine – the online home of Spine Surgery Today.
“We are excited about the launch of Spine Surgery Today. Each issue will present original reporting and expert analysis putting the news in perspective for the readers’ practice. We recognize the need for a single multispecialty news source for both spine surgeons and neurosurgeons. Spine Surgery Today will fill this unique information niche,” Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, senior vice president of SLACK Incorporated, said. “Spine Surgery Today blends different medical backgrounds and their unique contributions to spine surgery. As a result, we are assembling an outstanding group of editorial board members to mirror the diversity and expertise of this highly specialized community.”
The first issue will be published in March 2014 and will be unveiled at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting in New Orleans.
