Cartiva signs distribution agreement with Rehab Matrix

Cartiva Inc. has signed a distribution agreement with foot and ankle orthopedic medical device distributor Rehab Matrix Canada Inc. to distribute Cartiva’s Synthetic Cartilage Implant through Canada.

Through the procedure, range of motion is maintained by replacing the damaged cartilage in the affected joint with a smooth, resilient cartilage-like polymer. Use of the Synthetic Cartilage Implant instead of a fusion procedure also allows patients to avoid wearing a cast for 6 weeks ot 8 weeks.

“Rehab Matrix is an ideal partner as they have long-established relationships with many of the leading foot and ankle surgeons in Canada,” Timothy J. Patrick, president and chief executive officer of Cartiva, stated. “We look forward to working with the Rehab Matrix team as they formally launch the product later this year.”
