Zimmer Spine Inc. released the Viewline Retractor System which includes Viewline Tube Retraction System, Viewline Retractor System and Viewline Posterior Minimally Invasive Instrument. They are intended to aid in exposure, retraction, decompression and disc preparation for minimally invasive spine surgery.

“For the spine surgeon who performs minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion and posterior lumbar interbody fusion procedures, the Viewline Systems provide comprehensive versatility for minimally invasive spine surgery,” Steve Healy, president of Zimmer Spine, stated in a company press release.

The Viewline Tube Retraction System includes 40-mm to 120-mm lengths and three tube diameters to accommodate a range of spinal anatomy. The Viewline Retractor System offers 50-mm to 120-mm blades, which have 30° of blade pivoting, and includes two, three or four blades that move independently. Both systems feature an attachment arm to minimize tube profile, a rotating table clamp providing rigid stabilization and a cool LED light for improved visualization.
