Zimmer Spine and Frontier Medical Device have signed an exclusive global distribution agreement for Frontier’s Lateral Locking Cage. Zimmer Spine will market the lateral interbody cage product worldwide.

The Lateral Locking Cage (LLC) is a minimally invasive lateral interbody cage that features a variety of implant sizes to accommodate a range of patients and a unique locking mechanism. It was developed to treat degenerative disc disease and instability, including grade 1 spondylolisthesis or retrolisthesis.

“The distribution agreement for the LLC represents Zimmer Spine’s entry into lateral access surgeries, one of the fastest growing segments of the global spine market,” stated Steve Healy, president of Zimmer Spine, stated in a company press release.
