Global Orthopaedic Technology recently announced it has entered into an agreement with another Australian medical technology company, Optimized Ortho, for exclusive use of its premium knee simulation technology in the Australian orthopaedic market.

The partnership between Global Orthopaedic Technology (Global) and Optimized Ortho builds on an existing strategic collaboration between Global and OMNIlife Science Inc. (OMNI). Global and OMNI knee replacements used in conjunction with Optimized Ortho’s knee simulation technology will deliver functional and patient specific planning in Australia, according to a press release from Global.

Darren Churchill, chief executive officer of Global, stated that Optimized Ortho’s knee simulation technology will deliver functional and patient-specific planning for Global and OMNI knee replacements performed within the Australian health system.

“The use of Optimized Ortho’s software will assist and support surgeons, by providing them with very detailed information, including important simulation of the patient’s specific response to the implant,” Churchill stated. “This will result in optimal joint kinematics and consequently, enhance overall patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes,” he stated.
