K2M announced the launch of the Venado Foam Strips and Venado Granules Bone Graft System. Available in a variety of configurations and sizes, the Venado Foam Strips and Venado Granules Bone Graft System are designed to enhance bone regeneration and act as an osteogenic stimulus after spine surgery.

According to a company press release, the Venado Foam Strips are purified fibrillar collagen and biphasic granules that hydrate quickly in blood or saline and become flexible and moldable, yet are less likely to dissociate or break apart, functioning as a scaffold for osteogenic components. The Venado Granules are a biphasic combination of hydroxyapatite and bate-tricalcium phosphate.

“We are excited to bring to market the Venado Bone Graft Systems and to expand on our company’s presence in the rapidly growing biologics sector,” Eric Major, president and chief executive officer of K2M, stated in the release.
