Sensortech Corporation announced advancement of their new orthopedic knee alignment product, the Force Check Knee Replacement Smart Insert.

The insert incorporates FDA-approved Bluetooth 4 low energy technology and FDA-approved plastics technology. According to a company press release, it can adapt to all total knee arthroplasty (TKA) replacement components on the market and will increase TKA profitability through reduced operating and patient recovery times, faster healing times, reduced component wear, superior pain management and fewer revisions. The Force Check Knee Replacement Smart Insert also could become a leave-in device, measuring TKA component performance throughout the replacement’s operational life with FDA approval.

“It provides real time condyle contact pressure as well as contact location and contact patch movement tracking throughout the flexion test — something unique to the market today,” Andrew Clark, PhD, one of the founders of Sensortech Corporation, stated in the release.
