Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2013 returns to the Big Island
KOHALA COAST, Hawaii — Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2013 began with a traditional Hawaiian blessing and a full schedule of presentations on patella management, the meniscus and knee ligaments, and hip arthroscopy. The day also included a special coding workshop.
“In this new world of more audits and compliance, it behooves all orthopedists to be on the forefront of coding,” Douglas W. Jackson, MD, Chief Medical Editor of Orthopedics Today and course chair for Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2013, said.
Interspersed throughout the meeting, attendees have the chance to interact with the faculty through question-and-answer sessions tallied and recorded by an audience response system. Through this system, the faculty can quiz the attendees about the data presented or ask them how they would treat presented cases.
