K2M Inc. has announced a partnership with Cadwell Laboratories Inc. to provide a neuromonitoring solution for the company’s Ravine Lateral Access System.

According to a company press release, Ravine is a flat blade platform which provides rigid fixation to the patient and enhanced access control for the surgeon. It is designed to be compatible with Cadwell technologies to facilitate Ravine’s muscle splitting transpsoas approach. The Cadwell Probe System is fully integrated into Ravine, fitting down the channels of the lateral blades after retractor placement.

“We are pleased to be partnering with Cadwell Laboratories to deliver a neuromonitoring solution that will enable us to leverage the success of our existing Ravine Lateral Access System and provide surgeons with more intra-operative options,” Eric Major, president and chief executive officer of K2M, stated in the release.
