BERLIN – The European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology presented its annual awards during the Opening Ceremony, here.

The three best free paper awards were given to Prof. Dr. Pietro Ruggieri of Italy (gold), Jarkko Vasenius of Finland (silver), Dr. Jari Mokka of Finland (bronze).

The Jacques Duparc Award, which is given for the 10 best free posters presented at the at the congress, was presented to: Dr. Sebastian Müller, Prof. Dr. Dominique Saragaglia, Dr. Kenmoku Tomonori, Dr. Raymond Monto,  Robert Lee, Derfel Williams, Jonathan Roland Perera, Dr. Vasco Oliveira, Dr. Alexandre Lädermann, and Dr. Victor Dubois-Ferriere.

The awards ceremony also included presentation of the Allied Professions Award to Eva Ahlgren of Sweden, the EFORT Tribology Award to Prof. Dr. Christoph Lohmann of Germany, and the Industry Award to Pfizer.
