Zimmer Holdings Inc. has introduced their Mixigun Bone Cement Mixing and Delivery System, designed to improve upon the benefits of vacuum mixing by combining bone cement mixing and injection into a single process. The system can be used with many types of bone cements, making it suitable for all cemented bone replacement procedures.

According to a company release, the Mixigun Bone Cement Mixing and Delivery System is a single-use, fully disposable product that can simplify operating room procedures and reduce the time and costs associated with sterilization and the use of reusable injection guns.
