Integra LifeSciences announces instrument repair partnership with InstruMedics
Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corp announced a partnership with InstruMedics LLC., a national provider of service and repair for surgical instruments and equipment. The relationship will allow Integras Surgical Instrument sales force to provide a comprehensive solution for managing the service and repair needs of surgical instruments, rigid endoscopes, flexible endoscopes and powered surgical equipment, according to a company press release.
Our customers depend on us for their broad surgical instrument needs, and we are pleased to provide them with an equally comprehensive service model, stated Dan Reuvers, president of Integra Surgical, in the release. With InstruMedics accommodating business model, our customers can receive services ranging from basic transactional, to van-based service, to an installed lab right inside our customers' facilities.
Service and maintenance of surgical instruments and associated equipment is an important element in supporting a surgical environment, the release noted. InstruMedics supports van-based repairs and InSite hospital-based repair labs, as well as a mail-in model that repairs items in their Ann Arbor, Michogan facility.
