curasan AG announced in a press release that it has received the certification for the synthetic bone regeneration material Cerasorb M ORTHO from the Canadian authorities, Health Canada.

“This news has come as a pleasant surprise”, Hans Dieter Rössler, CEO, stated in the release. “Since the approval process for medical devices by the Canadian authorities is highly demanding, we were actually expecting the certification sometime next year.”

Cerasorb M ORTHO is now approved for sales in the whole of North America, the company noted.

Furthermore, curasan AG said the experience gained with the authorities in Canada will be useful and beneficial for other product approvals in this market.
