Corentec Co. Ltd., a medical device company based in South Korea, will now offer its products in the United States with the launch of Corentec America Inc. The American division will be based in Irvine, Calif., according to a company press release.

“The U.S. market is dynamic and rapidly expanding as demand for orthopedic implants grows in relation to the aging population,” Michael Y. Son, vice president of Corentec America, stated in the release. “Corentec is well-poised to meet this growing demand by introducing a range of novel solutions for hip, knee and spine in the coming decades. I see a great opportunity for Corentec America to make a significant mark in the large joint and spine implant markets here.”
