Arise, a lens fitting system that streamlines the process of orthokeratology lens design, is now available in the United States, according to a press release from Bausch + Lomb.

The company said the cloud-based system syncs with topographers to create lens designs to treat myopia, including the first FDA-approved orthokeratology lens design with toric peripheral curves to treat myopia overnight.
Arise, which does not require fitting sets, quickly makes lens recommendations using advanced algorithms to interpret corneal topography images, according to the release. The system was designed so that lens fitters of any experience level can use it, and its cloud-based platform allows providers to access patient data from anywhere.
Arise is also available in the United Kingdom and Europe, according to the release.
“Traditional orthokeratology lens fitting methods can be complex and time-consuming,” Yang Yang, president of global vision care at Bausch + Lomb, said in the release. “The Arise platform’s streamlined fitting process will reduce chair time and increase efficiency for eye care professionals.”
