DigitalOptometrics has launched DOT, a translation service available in 16 languages and dialects designed to help eye care providers effectively communicate with patients in their preferred language.

According to a company press release, nearly 68 million Americans speak English as a second language or have limited language proficiency. The DigitalOptometrics Translate (DOT) service offers real-time translation that allows technicians, refractionists and doctors to seamlessly interact with patients during eye exams and overcome communication barriers.
