Hands-on workshops and high-level education engaged attendees at this year’s Twin Cities Ocular Surface Disease Symposium, which offered a host of events related to research, diagnosis and management of ocular surface disease.

“It was a soup to nuts approach at ocular surface disease,” Laura M. Periman, MD, founder and director of dry eye services and clinical research at Periman Eye Institute in Seattle, told Healio.

The symposium, which covered neuropathic pain, chronic inflammation, dry eye disease and comorbid conditions among others, will be held again next year in Minneapolis.

“I was so impressed with the quality of the content,” Periman said. “This is not a beginner’s course. If you are serious about dry eye disease, this is your next-level training.”
