The Twin Cities Ocular Surface Disease Symposium, to be held Oct. 21 and 22 in Minneapolis, will offer 12 hours of accredited continuing education for eye care professionals, the symposium’s founder, Ahmad Fahmy, OD, FAAO, told Healio.

Fahmy, a staff optometrist at Minnesota Eye Consultants, also discussed what participants can expect from the upcoming conference, including new devices and treatments and other pertinent topics aimed to “elevate our understanding of ocular surface disease.”

Comprehensive workshops at the event will offer hands-on experience in eyelid debridement, eyelid warming procedures, meibomian gland expression and intense pulsed light, among others.

“Please come join us,” Fahmy said. “It’s going to be a phenomenal meeting.”
