  • AI will soon make the company’s Hoot Myopia Care platform more sophisticated.

A new automated marketing platform aimed at helping eye care providers manage dry eye disease is now available from Hoot Health Inc.

Hoot Dry Eyes gives eye care providers access to technology to onboard, educate and manage patients with dry eye disease, Hoot CEO Bob Miglani said in a press release. The platform includes personalized videos for patients designed to boost sign-ups for treatments, as well as on-demand videos for staff training, the release stated.

Matt Esperon, OD, called the platform a “game-changer” and said it saved his practice “so much time on having to educate patients one at a time.” Cheryl Chapman, OD, another Hoot Dry Eyes user, said the service “can reduce the time from when a patient is diagnosed to when they are treated.”

Days after the announcement of Hoot Dry Eyes, the company also unveiled artificial-intelligence integration for its myopia management platform, Hoot Myopia Care. The AI will support the creation of “highly personalized videos and clinical briefs” for patient education, Miglani said in a press release.

Set to be implemented in phases, the AI will also help create clinical research summaries and “behavioral coaching learning series.”

“We believe AI can play a crucial role in delivering personalized and meaningful information to doctors, enabling them to better serve their patients,” Miglani said in the release.

He also noted the company strives “to make advanced technology accessible, empowering [eye care providers] to improve the quality of care and strengthen their connection with patients.”
