WASHINGTON — NOV03 met endpoints specific to ocular burning and itching as well as corneal staining in patients with dry eye at 57 days and 15 weeks, Ahmad M. Fahmy, OD, FAAO, Dipl ABO, said in this Healio video from Optometry’s Meeting.
“NOV03 is the first FDA-approved eye drop for preservation of the tear film in patients with evaporative dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction,” Fahmy, who practices at Minnesota Eye Consultants, said.
“It’s nice to have a medication that meets the signs and symptoms of dry eye.”
