WASHINGTON — Johnson & Johnson Vision is working with the American Optometric Association at Optometry’s Meeting to help train clinicians to conduct eye exams on infants as part of the InfantSee program.

“The hope is that every single child will enjoy a comprehensive eye exam,” Lori Tierney, MBA, Johnson & Johnson Vision president of Americas, said in this Healio video.

Johnson & Johnson partnered with Optometry Cares – the AOA Foundation to create the program, a no-cost, public-health initiative developed to provide professional eye care for infants 6 to 12 months old in the U.S.

The program also aims to educate parents on the long-term implications of vision disorders in children, including myopia, Tierney said.
