VIDEO: CSF-1 improved, sustained near visual acuity
ATLANTA — A study of CSF-1 showed an improvement in near visual acuity as well as distance, according to a study presented at SECO 100.
In this video, Jade Coats, OD, who practices at McDonald Eye Associates, in Rogers, Arkansas, shares phase 3 study results for CSF-1 (0.4% pilocarpine HCl ophthalmic solution, Orasis Pharmaceuticals), a preservative-free solution.
“Results showed improvement of three lines near visual acuity that was sustained for upwards of 8 hours,” she said. “With the BID dosing, it gives people the flexibility to do one drop or two throughout the day.”
The study also showed a mean improvement of at least three letters in mesopic and scotopic conditions, Coats said.
