BARCELONA, Spain — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS meeting, Deepinder K. Dhaliwal, MD, LAc, discusses her experience co-moderating the first independent International Society of Refractive Surgery meeting.

ISRS was held in conjunction with the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the Brazilian Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

“We were excited to celebrate the legacy of our first president of ISRS, José Ignacio Barraquer, and were happy to do a tribute to him and his family because Barcelona is where it all started,” Dhaliwal said.

Dhaliwal invited colleagues to become members of ISRS, an independent organization with many projects planned for the future as well as educational opportunities that include externships all over the world and its own refractive surgery journal, the Journal of Refractive Surgery.
