BARCELONA, Spain — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ESCRS meeting, Federico Badalà, MD, shares his experience with the EyeMax Mono IOL in patients with insignificant cataract and dry age-related macular degeneration.

“I started using this lens in 2015 ... with very advanced cases,” he said. “Since we got quite excited with the results of this lens, we then moved into patients who were younger and with less advanced disease. In the last 5 years, we actually realized that patients with minimal cataract, starting AMD or starting any form of macular disease would benefit quite well from this product.”

EyeMax Mono (SharpView Ophthalmology) improves quality of vision up to 10° of eccentricity from the central fovea and can benefit patients with macular damage limited to the center of the fovea, according to Badalà.
